In every war, there are people who resist. Israeli conscientious objector Or will give us a first-hand account of the situation in Israel/Palestine in the aftermath of October 7th, and explain how militarization is connected to different struggles such as the resistance against Israel's war in the Gaza Strip and the occupation of the West Bank.
Or is an Arab Jew, Israeli, and pro-Palestinian activist who has been fighting for human and animal rights, against the occupation, and for a just peace for 20 years. She is an activist with New Profile, a feminist and antimilitarist movement supporting conscientious objection. The speaker will talk in English with consecutive translations into German. After the talk, the audience will be invited to ask questions.
